Use WooCommerce's built-in bulk editor to update prices, stock settings, and categories across multiple products without installing another plugin.

Select products for bulk editing
- In WP Admin, go to Products → All Products.
- Filter the list by category, product type, or stock status if needed.
- Check the boxes beside the products you want to edit. The header checkbox selects only products shown on that page.
- Choose Edit from Bulk actions, then click Apply.
- Review the selected products in the editor. Click × beside any product you want to exclude.
For large catalogs, use Screen Options to change the number of products shown per page, or edit smaller batches to avoid overloading your server.
Change regular and sale prices
Under Price, choose whether to replace regular prices or increase or decrease them by a fixed amount or percentage. For example, to raise selected prices by 5%, choose Increase existing price by and enter 5%.
The separate Sale control changes existing sale prices or sets a sale price below the regular price. Check both values afterward so an older sale price does not override your intended regular-price change. For discounts applied with a code instead, see our WooCommerce coupon guide.
Update categories, inventory, and other settings
- Categories and tags: Assign or remove categories and add product tags. Category and tag changes can also affect automatically related products.
- Status and visibility: Set publication status separately from where a product appears in the catalog or search results.
- Stock: Change stock status, enable stock management, or replace, increase, or decrease stock quantities.
- Other fields: Change backorder rules, shipping class, tax settings, weight, dimensions, or whether products are sold individually.
Leave unrelated fields at — No change —. Be careful with Stock Qty → Change to: it gives every selected product the same quantity. Use Increase existing stock by or Decrease existing stock by when adjusting different starting quantities by the same amount.
Save and check the results
- Review the selected products and changed fields, then click Update.
- Reopen a few products to confirm their prices, stock, categories, and visibility.
- Check the storefront, especially after changing prices or publication status.
Test major changes on a small batch first, and export product data or make a backup before updating a large catalog. The built-in editor has no universal undo button.
HoverCraft does not change WooCommerce's bulk-editing interface. On HoverCraft sites, verify the results on the shop archive and individual product pages.
Bulk edit product variations separately
The product-list editor works best with simple products. To update variations of one variable product, open that product and use Product data → Variations → Bulk actions for supported changes such as prices and stock. Save the variation changes and update the product.
These controls affect variations within that product, not variations across your entire catalog. See the official WooCommerce variable products documentation.
Use CSV imports for different values per product
If each product needs a different price, SKU, description, or stock quantity, use WooCommerce's built-in Export and Import tools under Products → All Products:
- Export the relevant products to CSV.
- Edit the required columns while preserving product IDs or SKUs used for matching.
- Import the file with Update existing products selected and check the column mapping.
- Review the import results and spot-check the updated products.
Test with a small CSV and keep a backup before importing widely. See the official WooCommerce CSV importer and exporter guide. For a complete reference to the standard bulk-edit fields, see Bulk Editing Products.
