Category Layouts

HoverCraft can assign special presentation roles to selected WordPress categories from the Customizer.

• Feed Category — limits the WordPress Posts page to one selected post category.
• FAQ Category — uses a compact FAQ layout that can group items by subcategory and optionally include links, HTML, or shortened content.
• Portal Category — uses a wide support-style listing with a Mini Hero search form scoped to that category.
• Selected FAQ and Portal categories are excluded from normal frontend queries outside their own category archives.

Categories that are not assigned a special role continue to use HoverCraft's normal archive layout.

Pending: Feed Category is also intended to limit the default WordPress feed, but RSS feed filtering is not currently connected.
