How It Works
The classic template calls do_action() in the summary container. WooCommerce attaches the title at priority 5, rating and price at 10, excerpt at 20, add-to-cart controls at 30, and product metadata at 40. A custom callback can appear between these elements.
PHP Example
add_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', function () {
echo '<p class="product-note">Questions? Contact us before ordering.</p>';
}, 25 );
Priority 25 places the note after the short description and before the add-to-cart controls in the default classic layout.
Add the code to a site-specific plugin or a child theme's functions.php file, then test it on a staging site.
HoverCraft in Practice
HoverCraft styles the standard product summary and provides an After Add To Cart widget area for information such as shipping, warranties, and trust notices. For a routine notice below the purchase controls, that widget area may be simpler than adding PHP. Use this action when you need to position content relative to the title, price, and other summary elements. See the Widget Areas documentation.
Common Pitfalls
A callback at priority 25 appears before the default add-to-cart controls, but it is not inside the add-to-cart form. Fields that must be submitted with the purchase need a suitable form-specific hook. Other extensions can also move WooCommerce's default callbacks, so test the actual position rather than assuming a priority always produces the same layout.
Compatibility
These callback positions describe the classic single-product template. Custom themes or block-based product layouts may render the summary differently.
