Widget Areas
HoverCraft provides widget areas for reusable theme content. Manage them under Appearance → Widgets. Some areas can also be shown or hidden in the Customizer without deleting their saved widgets.
Available areas
- Header, hero, homepage, sidebar, and footer areas
- Posthero, Postcolumns Top, Postcolumns Bottom, After Byline, and After Loop for reusable post content
- Postcolumns Top and Postcolumns Bottom can use left- or center-aligned text, while After Byline supports configurable padding.
- Tiles and Columns — each widget renders as one repeated layout item
- ZigZag — used by the Mini Hero ZigZag template when no page-specific ZigZag rows contain content
- After Add To Cart — WooCommerce content such as shipping, payment, warranty, or trust notices
Topbar, Preheader, Header Center, Header Aside, Hero Snippet, Hero Window, Posthero, After Byline, After Loop, and Copyright suppress widget titles even when a title is configured for the widget.
Older numbered Tiles, Columns, and ZigZag widget areas are retained only for migration. Active legacy areas remain available and trigger an admin migration notice, while empty legacy areas are hidden.
