Hero Sections
HoverCraft page templates use three hero sizes for different levels of visual emphasis.
- Mini Hero — a compact title and content area with configurable desktop and mobile padding.
- Half Hero — keeps the header above the hero while the hero fills the remaining first-screen space.
- Full Hero — places the header and navigation inside the hero background and fills the first screen.
- For singular content, the Featured Image takes priority as the hero background; when no Featured Image is set, HoverCraft falls back to the global WordPress Header Image.
- Hero captions use the Featured Image caption first and fall back to the Header Image caption when needed.
- WordPress Header Image support uses flexible dimensions with a 1920×1080 default.
- Hero images support configurable positioning, while gradients can use adjustable angle, tones, and transparency.
- Front-page heroes can use the Hero Snippet and primary or secondary Hero CTA menus; Half and Full Hero can also use the Hero Window.
- Full Hero includes a configurable content width and can additionally use a background video.
- Posthero content can appear on Full Hero only, on Full and Half Hero, or on Full, Half, and Mini Hero layouts.
See Page Templates for available template combinations and Header Layouts for navigation positioning.
Pending: A hero gradient-status control exists in the Customizer but is not currently connected to frontend output.
